This is a very nice State Park with plenty of recreational options. The trails are well marked and maintained. Admittedly, these trails do not have the scenic landscapes found on other trails. However, if you like hiking through the forest, these trails make for a nice outing.

In Oswego County, the thaw can tend to push a lot of fishing holes under water. Selkirk Shores offers a nice deep channel that connects Lake Ontario with Grindstone Creek. This can be a productive fishing spot with a variety of catch.
